Our story

We spent three years on one hinge.

SIAX began with an irritation: great earbuds, terrible pockets. Every case was a brick. So we asked a stubborn question — what if the whole acoustic chamber could fold? Three years, 214 prototypes and one machined cobalt hinge later, Fold Buds were the answer.

Design philosophy

Small is a feature. Folding is the feature.

We refused the usual trade — smaller size, smaller sound. Instead we split the chamber along a precision hinge, so the driver keeps its full volume when open and halves its footprint when closed.

Every tolerance is held to 8 microns. Every fold ends the same way: with the snap.

Materials index

Chosen slowly. Built to last.

01

Anodized cobalt hinge

Aerospace-grade aluminum, color-anodized in a single bath for a finish that can’t chip — only wear in, beautifully.

02

Bio-resin shell

A castor-oil polymer that’s 41% plant-based and survives drops that crack ordinary ABS.

03

Memory-silicone tips

Body-temperature adaptive silicone that seals in seconds and stays sealed for hours.

04

Graphene drivers

11mm graphene-coated diaphragms — stiff where they must be, light everywhere else.

05

Recycled cobalt cell

A 30-hour case battery built from 78% reclaimed cobalt, certified and replaceable.

The result

Three years of stubborn, in your coin pocket.
